Myra Albert is a Hopi elder who lives in the village of Hotevilla on Third Mesa in Northern Arizona. Her sister, Norma, and brother-in-law, Lorenzo, care for her as she cared for Norma when she was just a girl. Myra is confined to a wheelchair because of the loss of one leg. Reading and doing activity books keep her mind active and her time occupied. If we bring her a crossword or word search book, she will be busy with it before we leave the house.
